| I should be over this by now but I'm feeling so sad. I gave my stbx my diamond engagement ring and wedding ring back. (And in my mind, the "s" now stands for someday, because nothing has happened quickly in the parting of my husband and I.) He will give it to his mistress, no doubt. It was part of our "agreement" and I'm the one who suggested it. I would have had to pay him more money otherwise, and I can't afford it. I gave it to him about a month ago... funny that it's only bothering me now. We've been apart a long time now (since Nov 1, 2005), but still not divorced. I'm supposed to be served with divorce papers tomorrow. I should be over this.... but I guess I'm not. |

I have been in similar situation. Your ex sounds like a real winner. We should had left you the rings at no cost. In due time your sadness will seem something of the past. A divorce feels like a death--it is a process of mourning and it takes time but you have to also work on moving on-- and by all means it's not easy but it is possible. I wish you the best and hang in there, it will get better. |
